Atlanta-Based TV Show, The Immortalz, To Star Adam Russo, Drew Sumrok, Jake Driver, Boston Miles And Dylan Hauser

immortals-intro

Atlanta has a new Vampire TV Series in pre-production that is chock full of gay porn stars.  What does that mean for viewers? No one can be sure yet, but it’s very likely that the show will not be rated G or on anything but a cable or internet network.  It also means that there are likely to be a lot of gay sexual relationships.  Possibly a Gay version of True Blood or a vampire version of Queer as Folk.

A quick view of the Facebook Page cast photos shows Adam Russo, Boston Miles, Dylan Hauser, Jake Driver, and Drew Sumrok in the cast.  The male porn stars aren’t the only male eye candy on the show though, so one is left to wonder at what the relationships between the male characters will be. When asked if they were worried about what people would think about them using porn stars, Keith Bailey of Immortalz Productions LLC had this to say. “We think an adult audience has the maturity to see the actors in our show as more than just porn stars. We needed men who were comfortable in sexual situations on camera.  Who better than porn stars for doing that?”

Keith Bailey, who is the show creator and Executive producer, is also a character in the show, and from released publicity photos, the main love interest of Adam Russo. When asked about this Keith responded. “Playing opposite a porn star like Adam Russo is certainly intimidating. I mean I am not built like the men he is use to working with, but he is kind, funny, and does everything he can to make you feel at ease.”

Immortalz Atlanta is expected to release in 2016. http://www.immortalzatl.com  I for one am looking forward to learning more about it.

You never know who will wind up in the cross-hairs of Christian Cross next.  Until the next big scandal keep reaching for the Porn Stars.

Ivan Jimenez says:

I hope Drew Sumrok bottoms more for twinks like Jason Valencia, go on MenInEdge & go on DivineBitches soon.

Nelson Alger says:

Looks like the producer is more interested in hanging out with porn stars than he is making a quality show. Another sex based gay show with most likely awful acting, why can’t a show about all the good things lgbt do for humanity be made? Here are some tips for those involved: vampires are not cool anymore, a cast of sub-par porn stars is not ratings gold, and Adam Russo is gross.

Cale says:

Agree that vampires are not cool anymore, but I like Adam Russo. Some of porn stars actually can act (Johnny Hazzard = Frankie Valenti, Colton Ford, François Sagat)

Bradster says:

I guess they couldn’t find any attractive porn stars so they were stuck with these duds. Dylan Hauser? Seriously?

von schlomo says:

Porn “stars” must work for cheap.

L. T. says:

I was wondering what happened to Dylan Hauser. He’s bee quiet since he and Boston Miles hooked up. I liked Dylan and guess I’m the only one. He has a nice dick.

slipperyslope says:

So I actually took the time to visit the FB page and track down a 30 second teaser clip before I posted anything. I know it’s “cool” to shit all over something like this because it looks low-budget, but why on earth would you come on a porn blog and slag on actors who have been in porn films, like they automatically lessen a production or something? Really poor behavior, I think.

Is this the next “Breaking Bad” or “Game of Thrones” blockbuster? Probably not. But people are putting time and energy into it and I’d rather support that then the next season of Kardashian bullshit.

von schlomo says:

Maybe because 99% of porn “stars” can’t act? Just a thought… So many of them struggle with 30 seconds of dialogue when some of these outfits try to create story driven porn scenes.

Yes, low budget shows can be great. Isn’t there some Star Trek show online with gay characters that everyone talks about? There’s an example.

Behavior? Are we in Sunday school? Cause I really wanted to get good marks for my parents and stuff.

PS You didn’t give any reaction to the actual “teaser”.

slipperyslope says:

Without seeing the show, I have no way of knowing how integral they are to the story. Maybe they don’t have much dialogue and they’re able to skate around the ‘porn-acting’ curse. Maybe the director found the 1% of porn actors who CAN handle talking on film. My point wasn’t so much to defend the show, because I haven’t seen it and the 30 second teaser is not really in depth enough to give an idea of how this show will be (although I don’t like that it looks to be filmed on video. There are quite a few digital cameras nowadays that give the illusion of film.) Is it campy? Is it semi-serious? One thing that gives me serious pause is the “Z” on ‘Immortalz’. That usually makes me think the production crew isn’t really taking it seriously.

My actual point was this blog is specifically related to porn, and to slag on people who make it for trying to do something else is a cheap shot, and really shitty behavior. Once the show comes out, if you watch it and the porn actors are terrible, you have legitimate cause to call them out.

And yes- I think we can all do with a reminder now and then that your behavior, whether it’s online or in the real world, speaks to the kind of person you are.

tl; dr: I try to give moral support to projects like this rather than tear them down from the very beginning. Wait and see until you rate it.

von schlomo says:

You seem to be taking this all very seriously. I don’t think most others are. Maybe just walk away knowing you appreciate art and the rest of us don’t really care. I actually love vampires and gay vampires and bisexual vampires but nothing here piqued my interest enough to go looking…but then again, I’m extremely picky with TV shows and porn.

Good luck policing the interwebs. As long as it gives you satisfaction, but it kinda seems like pissing into the wind. But, consider me notified that I’m on notice!

I consider it an axiom that how you behave is based on the kind of person you are. My point was simply that no one was violating anyone’s civil rights. No one was being racist or homophobic or any of another 99 injustices. It was just low grade snarkiness. I guess if you don’t agree with the premise of a joke then you can’t find it funny.

Finally, I’m not a fan of the story porn. I’ve seen the best done by Joe Gage for Titan a long time ago. I think I have an appropriate standard in which to judge, even tho this production isn’t porn, it just uses a bunch of porn “stars”.

slipperyslope says:

Well, I’m not going to lose sleep over it, if that’s what you’re worried about. ;)

Dante’s Cove: The Next Generation?

Khalil Corso says:

More like The Lair, that’s the one with the vampire plot, Dante’s was about witches… at least in theory. The Lair wasn’t that bad actually, and it was way more coherent than Dante’s. We’ll see how this one turns out.

Scrapple says:

I thought DC had vamps in the last season. I must be getting my gay soaps mixed up.

Khalil Corso says:

There’s some scenes that take place in a bdsm club which was the later inspiration for the vampire club in The Lair. Some of the guys that appear in those DC scenes appear later on The Lair but with different characters. Logo made it confusing by telling that TL was a spin-off that happen in the same town despite the obvious plot holes.

Scrapple says:

That accounts for my confusion.

Speaking of DC, I recently learned Thea Gill’s Queer as Folk co-star Michelle Clunie had a child with Bryan Singer this year. I think I’m still in shock.
