I don’t know if Sean Cody realized after the scene was shot, that it would have the seismic impact on Sean Cody and other big sites that it did. One more BIG favor: can you please find out when & why Buddha Lounge in WeHo closed down? It was a gay Asian club on the 1st Saturday or 1st Thursday monthly at UltraSuede. CA Bars and clubs are a mess. Race may have a part in just about anything, but I really think it is just poor business advice and a bunch of wanna be star fuckers who’s fondest dream is to be the next cool kid. I think clubs with fledgling status are destined to fail more so because people WAY underestimate what startup costs will really be – ESPECIALLY in high rent areas like Weho. If they started with less than 2 years operating capitol it was over before it got started. Weho is over with, it’s bloody boring and has been for a decade. San Diego is nice, but lacks the luster of NY or Chicago. I also think that somewhere along the line in the course of Gay culture becoming accepted, exclusively gay has gone it’s way.
