You seem to be part of the “label free” camp when it comes to sexuality. I respect that. I don’t agree with it, at all; but, I respect your opinion. In my particular field, it’s all about labels, classification. In order to help a person, I need to label them. It’s how my field works. I would never stigmatize or lock someone in a label; but, in my notes, I have to give them a label (of sorts). Yes, even sexuality gets labeled no matter how much you rebel against the notion. It’s important here to make a distinction between a person’s sexual orientation and their sexuality. Every person has a sexual orientation (a label) and is a sexual being. We, as human beings, express our sexuality in varied ways: through friendships, spirituality, romantic relationships, etc. Ideally, a person’s expression of their sexuality should be true to their nature. Obviously, there is nothing simple about human sexuality. It is easily one of the most complex characteristics of a human being. As a gay man, I express my sexuality as a gay man. Not as an androgynous man, a bisexual man, a heterosexual man, etc. I am true to my nature. I am proud of my “nature,” of who I am as a unique person and the commonality I share with other people, with humanity.

So, with that preface out of the way, and you (or anyone really) could probably care less, what has me so riled up about this guys jaunt with a woman. It’s certainly NOT the physical act. I, personally, don’t care who the man has sex with. I believe what he did was childish and sophomoric for a man his age, or any adult man with even a hint of mental/emotional maturity. But, c’est la vie, it’s his life and it is porn. But, the entire premise behind this production is that heterosexual sex for homosexual men is something to be extolled. In my opinion, it’s not. I find it offensive. This supposedly gay man has sex with a woman is something to celebrate? Why? I believe that gay men having sex with gay men is something to be lauded. It’s rare, unique, and special. Being gay is rare, unique, and special. And people have sacrificed their lives because they share that vision. As a gay man who is “firmly entrenched” with that vision ever before me, I try to help others share in that vision. I am passionate about gay rights and mindful of the sacrifices made and the struggle people endure in everyday life. This type of porn (straight for pay), though highly insignificant in the grand scheme of things, needs to be challenged even if all we are trying to do is assert our belief that homosexual sex is an equally dignified form of sexual expression.

So, in conclusion, yes, men (straight, bi, or gay) having sex with women is no big deal. It’s what society expects us to do. But, extolling heterosexual sex for homosexual men (not bi) degrades the uniqueness and dignity of homosexuality. By the way, I am not for “gay for pay” either. Oh, and the last time someone call me a troll it was Halloween 1987-88 (I can’ remember) because I really was a troll! I hated all that make-up, though. It made my face itchy. And, and because this is a porn blog does not negate the fact that I stand-up for what I believe in. I applaud you for doing the same.
