When the performers on a site are like watching paint dry and it is obvious that someone is standing just off camera with a stop watch but they shoot for another site and it is intense and passionate then the site and the director are to blame. I’m thinking specifically in this instance of Tex and Andrew who were MUCH better when they shot for Cocksure and Cockyboys.

After James Hamilton and Phenix Saint shot for Next Door they went to another studio to reshoot the same scene stating the director didn’t care and all he wanted was 10 minutes of oral and 10 minutes of anal to edit together then he wanted them to cum. Who is to blame if not the studios and the director? I don’t blame the performers especially at Next Door because if Cody is the standard why would you do more?

I can’t simply blame the site for becoming boring – I’ve found that almost all the gay porn sites have such pre-determined routines that even without looking at where the photos originated it’s easy to tell from the formula. Things aren’t economically good in the porn industry right now and they all seem to want to blame the economy (might be) but personally I think a huge part of the problem is the cookie cutter sameness of all their products. Next Door promotes Cody Cummings over everybody else that works for the company. If you don’t want to service him then you can’t work for them. Why would any of the other performers want to put forth any kind effort when Cody is going to make 3 times the pay for 1/3 the work.

I dropped my subscription when even Tommy D seemed to lose interest. Why should he work so hard when Cody gets a pass for the boring stuff they put out on his site.

The site bring in money so it won’t change until people stop supporting it. I have heard people saying Cody’s site wasn’t worth it on its own but as part of the suite it was. How long will that last since they keep getting lamer and lamer with all the other sites?
