Yeah calling him “darkie” is incredibly mean and unnecessary. We of all people should know what it’s like to be marginalized and stereotyped (conversely as the African-Americans who voted yes on prop 8 a couple years ago, too!).

I will have to disagree with one point of your comment titanic. Racism doesn’t occur in the gay world. It occurs in the straight world too. Just because some idiot who is gay happens to be racist doesn’t mean you should be ashamed to be gay, just like people who are straight probably aren’t ashamed of being straight just cause some hillbilly is racist.
