Oops, you know what, I just realized I think I got George Duroy mixed up with William Higgins, but they both did that sort of thing. Wikipedia points out that Georges Duroy is the name of a character in a work by Guy de Maupassant called Bel Ami. So they both like to make use of the higher arts in porn.

George Duroy loves making references with his names. He used to be obsessed with classical music, so they named everyone Bartok, Dvorak, etc. Now I guess they’re on to painting. It’s an interesting approach, but I wonder how many people are reflecting on the meaning of the name when jacking off.
