And what’s with all the prison talk? “Bad boy” =/= “Ex-con”, in my opinion. I’m not one of those people who shuns ex-cons (once you do your time, I have nothing against you (unless you seem to be a repeat-offender)), but the writer went on too long about his prison sentence. Why bother even mentioning it? To set up the “bad boy” image, and to lend it some veracity? If that’s the case, it’s even more gratuitous; Haigan gives off the bad boy vibe without needing a prison record to back it up. (Once again “bad boy” =/= “ex-con”.) It just struck me as over-the-top, and took away from the appeal of the photoshoot.
