@jazz – Unfortunately the source of most information is the cam shows. Some Fratmen inspire such strong emotions it is hard to find unbiased writing online. But a good site is the “Fratmen News & Highlights” blog.

Shay was generally regarded as one of the most thoughtful and gifted Fratmen. After Shay’s last show on 1/14, he was arrested for marijuana possession a week later. Many members were shocked by Shay’s habit and how lightly he seemed to have treated the incident. On 1/31, his last day at the pad, he also shaved his pubes on cam which is normally against pad rules.

After leaving the pad, Shay has been rooming with Fratmen Theo and Gene in an apartment nearby. Stories told on cam involved lots of partying, drinking, threesomes (some involving unprotected sex by some partners), and one incident of Shay having sex on the apartment’s balcony, causing Theo to be fined. On another note, Shay has secured a sales job through other Fratmen and will begin this spring.

Some members seem to have lost interest in Shay now that he’s “a different person.” Personally I think many people go through phases of being lost or conflicted, especially a very young person who’s on his own, goes on cam at 18 or 19 and spends the next four years doing so, and is now free of this duty. I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it if it were me.

I think some of the very young models are ambivalent about male contact and gay sex at the beginning, but after a couple of years they begin to see things in perspective and feel they no longer want to continue. Sometimes Fratmen enter steady relationships and are prohibited by their GF’s from doing shows. The fear of being outed (real name and info exposed) is also very real.

Oh yeah, that’s a good point. Sometimes I tell myself that it’s because it’s porn and not just the gay thing, but no straight man that I know of in porn ever recanted or regretted fucking women for a living unless he somehow died from it.

My point is a lot of them live in fear of being “found out” because if what others may think of them. That constant fear eventually wears some of them down and they leave and then “regret” the things they’ve done.

@jazz, I’m not sure I get your point. Of course I have no idea what these guys claim to be because I don’t read the descriptions, but I’m inferring that they identify as straight? If they are willing to take showers with other men and suck dicks and possibly once in a blue moon get fucked by a guy, seems to me that they already ARE “loving” who they want. There certainly have been a lot of straight stars with other companies in recent years who sucked, topped, and bottomed. If nothing else, that’s a far cry from the late 80s when the biggest gay porn stars (Jeff Stryker, Rex Chandler, Steve Hammond, and on and on) refused to suck dicks or get fucked to preserve their straight personas. I’m not arguing with you, just debating the point because I find it interesting and worthy of discussion.

An Easter miracle!

Shay and Jayden’s “Solumates” is one of the only two Fratmen PPV’s I have (the other being Casey/Taylor), and it’s a good one by porn standards. Knowing the guys are good friends in real life also adds to the scene’s chemistry. I still go back to this scene sometimes and let my imagination run wild.

Towards Shay’s last stay at the pad (Jan 2012), he began to display a wild, rebellious streak that was only occasionally evident in the past. Details about his post-pad activities surfaced and made the Jersey Shore cast look like monks. As a result he may have alienated a fair number of fans.

If Shay ever needs to return, I do hope to see him with Fratmen again and not CD or NDS. (And if he goes to J— C—–…). Those blue eyes are truly one of the most beguiling prescences Fratmen ever had.
