I’ve complained on here before about Corbin Fisher Select demenishing the Corbin Fisher brand. Corbin Fisher really just don’t have enough quality performers/camera people/variety of themes–how many times can “straight college men” fuck? Other sites with a PPV option and 5 weekly videos (gay or straight sites) mix it up: husband fucks wifes friend, father fucks sons gay friend, boss makes employee stay late at work, etc. not just the same theme over and over and over again.

Also, it appears that much of the staff are former models…and we can tell as you pointed out in the recent Select shot video. I love the loyalty Corbin Fisher has for his team, but nepotism isn’t a good business plan. Hire some professional cameramen. Just because it worked out with Pete and Connor–who seems to do well behind the scenes–doesn’t mean they all can. I wonder how much Corbin is even involved in most of the production anymore. He seems more concerned with tracking down porn piraters–which I realize is a major problem and threat.

I like the college guy niche, but they are struggling to keep up with 5 weekly updates compared to SC’s 3 and it’s just making them look bad.

If anyone from Corbin Fisher actually reads this….you should check out the CNBC Special on the CEO of J. Crew and how he was with GAP Inc. and left because it got too big (with Gap, Old Navy, Banana Rep., Piperline) and started performing poorly. The Gap company still has never recovered and J. Crew is thriving remaing small and keeping to its niche market. Business is business wether it be porn or sweaters.

Sorry for the long rant and business plan assessment, but it’s really sad to see Corbin Fisher fall so hard.

Personally I find the updates shot by Corbin himself tend to have better camerawork. Sometimes you can tell who’s shooting which scene by hearing who interviews the models – if the scene features an interview, of course. Pete’s camerawork is usually adequate, while Connor is more hit-and-miss. The Reed/Harper scene was shot by Pete.

Another reason the Reed/Harper scene feels unsatisfying is it appears to have taken Reed some time to get a second nut, so there’s a lot of editing, then out of the blue Reed starts cumming.

I know what you mean about the lack of screenshots! Why aren’t there any for that video? Every other one gets four stills, but from their latest: zilch.

@darkthundr: what were the fuck ups with the models you mentioned? Did Sean Cody out their names someplace?

@Darkthunder I live on the West Coast (California) Sean Cody used to update at midnight every other day. But I figured out that they’ve been doing it at 9pm every other day I’m guessing because people who live on the East coast don’t have to wait until 3 am just to see the newest update. That’s my wild guess. I could be wrong. I don’t know

Sushi, you are totally on point with your observation. The Corbin Fisher Select Sunday update is proof of the lack of quality that Corbin Fisher used to have. I know Reed gets a bad rap, but he fucked the crap out of Harper, it was a stellar performance by both models, that was awesome, but I don’t know if it is the editing or they use fewer cameramen, but the angles were terrible. Reed is rimming Harper and the only thing they showed was a side view and actually there isn’t much anymore that isn’t a side view. I like to see the models facial expressions straight on, but that hardly happens anymore. And when the kissing takes place the first shot is always the back of somebody’s head instead of the actual kissing and each scene always starts out with a kiss. For crying out loud have the damn camera ready. It almost appeared that somebody put the camera on the darn tripod and walked away, ok it wasn’t quite that bad, but the scene could have been so much better in that respect. It shouldn’t have been on PPV site for that reason.

Maybe I’m being overly critical, but this is getting crazy. Heck the Reed/Harper page on Corbin Fisher Select doesn’t even show any screenshots. WTF?? Sorry for not staying on topic, but when there isn’t any blog space for Corbin Fisher Select it needs to be discussed somewhere. I can understand why Corbin Fisher doesn’t release photos for the blogs because with the content that he’s been putting out on there it would reduce his income.
