I’d call a luridly worded statement ending in an exclamation point a statement of enthusiasm, not just a “statement of reality.” Actually, I enjoyed that tidbit of lurid enthusiasm.

My feelings about condom is as follows:

If an adult model is aware of the dangers and chooses to not use condoms that’s on him. I do not want studios to insist that models “take one for the team” or to get rid of models simply because they want to be safe. My problem is not so much with the condom free but with the insistance by some that there is absolutely no credible reason why a studio or model should use condoms. Or that we should get rid of models that want them or not shop studios that use them. That if they went bareback before they should always be bareback- regardless of the situation.

The one lamentation that condom-free advocates make that has merit is that pro-condom advocates should not barge onto bareback threads to lecture and complain. These are adults. I just wish they’d STFU when there’s a scene with a condom and stop acting like it’s a personal betrayal.

You are wrong. Moondoggy is wrong. The fact that you are together in your mutual wrongness does not make either of you right. It is an imperical fact that testing is not foolproof. It is also a fact that a model, like Kris Evans, has perfectly valid reasons to not want to go bareback and that a studio has perfectly valid reasons why they might want to have a model be bareback one week and with a condom another week and NONE of those reasons have a thing to do with “priceless coins”.

If you like bareback that’s fine. What ticks me off is when people insist that it’s some kind of massive betrayal if a model or director decides for safety reasons to use a condom. I’ve heard people insist that Kris Evans be fired for his desire to be safe. Others act with this pious outrage when a studio has a mix of scenes. It never occured to you that Bel Ami had a good reason to use condoms because you do not recognize the reality of what your advocating.
