@cameronhawks119, WB, like most other blogs, are at the mercy of content providers. If Sean Cody said close comments (because they don’t appreciate being publicly dragged on a bi-weekly basis) or they’re pulling their content… there isn’t much WB can do. I mean for all the valid criticisms they receive, Sean Cody is undeniably popular. That’s why I’m gonna start scaling back on my Sean Cody dragging, especially in comment sections for other sites (LOL!)

anyway, I would hate to put WB in a position where they would have to permanently remove comments from all postings because I can’t behave myself.

The true reasons why Waybig did such things would be that some comments related to model’s privacy were posted again and it’s troublesome to check all the comments and as you said, WB doesn’t want to be criticized.

But I think what WB did doesn’t make sense very much (Especially on the internet) because there are always “such people” who want to know and leak & share model’s or celebrity’s privacy or scandal by any means (As you said, they can post it on other blogs, Twitter, etc…even if WB closed comment box.).

So unfortunately, we cannot preclude that on the internet like a jungle… Of course, I’m not saying there is no way to prevent.

At the moment, there is only thing WB can do is to check all comments, i think… And WB readers will have to endure that…

I thought about that too. 1) As I’ve said in the past, the gifs are stupid and should be completely banned. 2) It seems like if somebody was posting private information about the models, they could’ve regulated that too. 3) That leaves the possibility that Sean Cody was/is tired of hearing the complaints, many of which are totally unfounded. 4) I hope they never unlock the comments. Better this way.

And I have to say I totally hate the direction Sean Cody is heading.

The guys are not up to their usual standards. Hairy and tattooed is not what I expect from SC.

Also, it’s scenes are turning into that of MEN and other run of the mill websites with groups sex/orgies.

I know who you are talking about but it seems like they could have just asked WB to moderate any post with attachments and put an end to the gifs that way. Shutting down the comments seems excessive if that was their concern.

Maybe the “compromise” was “we’ll turn off comments from this point forward but we won’t remove any of the old ones.”
