I agree with some of what you say Adam. However, while yes it’s inexcusable the path LE appears to have chosen for their bb foray, I’m going to argue most of the onus is on the performer to ask questions and know the situation they are putting themselves into. Why would ANY performer have bb sex without knowing the status of their partner? That’s pure and simply CRAZY! I love me some Logan but at some point performers have to take responsibility for their own health. And after seeing a clip from a recent bb scene with Logan at Dark Alley, I have to wonder if Logan is all that concerned…

And honestly, that’s their prerogative. Nobody should be pressured or shamed into barebacking in a situation they do not want to, and if one situation they don’t want to be bareback is on camera, then that’s up to them.

I think for many, it’s counter-intuitive to think that a performer who does a lot of bareback would be positive. Because without specifics about the individual’s situation, it just seems so reckless and irresponsible for someone who is positive to be barebacking. I think many people (wrongly) assume that positive individuals wouldn’t think about doing bareback, regardless of how low their viral load is.

And it doesn’t really matter if it should be considered “common knowledge,” it should be the responsibility of the studio to give their performers all information about the inherent risks of a situation they are about to enter in, and not assume they have previous knowledge. That’s why doctors beat their patients over the head with a lot of “common knowledge” risks of medication and procedures because you occasionally do encounter someone who is just so out of the loop, they have no idea. And while I agree, Logan should have confirmed Rocco’s status independently, most of the onus should fall on LE for not making the situation as safe as possible.

It’s ironic how LE is now though, because they used to be so against bareback, to the point of openly and publicly shaming other studios for doing bareback, But now not only are they almost exclusively-bareback, they are seem to be one of the most irresponsible studios out there in terms of making these situations as low-risk as possible (this is the first I’ve ever heard of LE’s non testing and it’s gross).
