Could it be as simple as the fact that he was so nonverbal? That wouldn’t matter at all now, but I think it’s interesting that he was the clear star of The Road Home, featured I think in something like five out of seven scenes. And yet half the time, you could hardly even hear what he was saying. That was part of his character in that particular movie, but there were other movies where he was just as quiet.

I console myself with the fact that Hot House knew what it had in him. Very few movies back then attempted to focus so heavily on one performer. The Road Home was the perfect starring vehicle for him. I just wish that the camerawork had focused on his legs a little more. At one point, I actually found myself jacking off to him mowing the lawn because of those little shorts and the fact that the camera was finally far enough away to show the calves.
