I’ve always been intrigued by this. Falcon Studios used to play on the voracious bottom fantasy. Their director’s cuts involved tree-trunk sized dildoes, fisting, etc. William Higgins and John Travis liked the voracious top fantasy. The bottoms were often portrayed as nervous, scared, struggling to take it. Given a choice, I think I always found the voracious top fantasy to be hotter.
