You present a compelling argument. I totally agree with you about BSB’s BS. They’re always trying to pass off seasoned porn actors as new and gay/bi performers as straight.

I just revisited the LatinBoyz scene for a skim. You’re right — Dustin seemed far more at ease there. However, Dustin did not kiss Justin or suck his dick in that LB scene. And those two acts seem to bother Dustin the most. Even when BSB is bullshitting, they usually tell a performer to stop dumbing it down after a couple of scenes — to show subscribers how they ‘converted’ the performer.

Which reminds me: BSB subscribers don’t appreciate the continually underwhelming performances of James Andrews or Dustin Powers. When their scenes are bad, subscribers give them 3/5 stars. Meanwhile, two of Brady’s scenes are the highest-rated BSB scenes ever, getting nearly 5/5 stars.

BSB — for all its lying, spin, and bullshit — still has an economic incentive to make decent porn. Porn that includes relatively willing performers. Take for instance the fact that BSB complained openly to James Andrews on-camera about subscribers disliking the fact that he coughed when he sucked dick, and openly criticizing him for his lackluster performances — even making him watch Justin & Chandler’s scene as they filmed it. They also only let James return to the studio if he agreed to bottom.

Furthermore, on BSB’s blog, the studio owner picks his favorite models, which are usually guys like Drake Tyler and Brady Bennett — the two strongest performers at the site. That’s why they use each of them (especially Drake) so much.

I guess what I’m saying is, BSB *does* want their performers to improve over time, and if a guy isn’t new to gay sex, they want to pretend he is to show that journey of transition. But they (and their subscribers paying the bills) don’t like guys with lots of limits, hangups, and ones who grow slowly. It seems in the videos that the videographer is annoyed by guys like James and Dustin. And their subscribers just downvote the videos.

I genuinely think some measure of Dustin’s obstinance comes from Dustin.

I agree that he’s way too melodramatic around dick. It’s a major turnoff.

When Dustin did his anal scene with Justin Riggs over at Latinboyz, there wasn’t a bit of the “uck factor” on Dustin’s part which tells me that this is the usual BSB bullshit which is intended to convince the audience that Dustin is really straight. Who cares??
