I’ve always wondered who *actually* directed Lucas and Dawson Down Under? Obviously it wasn’t Pete, but I have my doubts that it was Corbin, either. The direction, the photography, the variety and intensity of sex acts, the editing — everything was just so much better. And they managed to get L & D to look like they were really horny and hot for each other. Yes, there was the usual fade-upon-fade (indicating behind-the-scene breaks, of course), but it was just on a whole different porn-o-plane than anything else I’ve seen in CF-Land.

Connor’s scenes are better than Pete’s, IMO. Pete has way too many closeups. I for one, like to see action/reaction in my porn. Show the face & the fucking @ the same time.

If a director can go from “very good” to “very bad” all within one scene on the consistent basis that Pete does, then he is in fact a horrible director.

As far as the problems getting hot new talent I agree Pete is probably a big part of the problem, although it may also be the improving economy that has reduced the pool of available guys. As far as direction, I wouldn’t say Pete is horrible. I’d say his directorial skills range from very good to very bad, sometimes all within one scene.

Then Pete needs to GTFO. The sad part is that Pete is a fucking gay man, you would think that he would know better. He’s probably another gay man who fawns over str8 guys.

One small bit of progress. They got rid of the obnoxious name “American College Sex” for their het and bi scenes.. Obnoxious in that only their sub-site that included women could have “SEX” in it’s name — implying that it’s not really “SEX” when no woman involved, just experimentation…or — gasp — perversion?

I have felt for awhile now that a big part of their problem is Pete. He is a horrible director and judge of talent. About 18 months ago everything changed and they lost a lot of their talent (Cain,Aiden,etc.) I feel the new guys, who I think are subpar ,as well as the general direction of the site are all due to Pete’s influence.
