My own thoughts are: if the ink is heavy, but there’s a definite pattern or “story” behind it, then I love it. Shiloh from ChaosMen is a perfect example. His work is stunning and I find myself getting lost in it. Same with Logan. Boomer, on the other hand, is totally piecemail, and it drives me crazy. Looks trashy (to me— in any case) and I find it off-putting. I’m also not a fan of the giant word across the abdomen. Does Boomer need that much of a reminder to be courageous? I just…. can’t.
