Yeah, I actually don’t object THAT much to the Euro sites that traffic in a specific, even white-only type. If Bel Ami never features a black model, I’m not going to go #belamisowhite. But the fact that WH has done SO many movies makes it egregious, especially when the first half of his career was in the U.S. Falcon was hardly a bastion of diversity compared to Catalina, but they did have a small handful of black models, even way back in the silent era.

Well, I guess it’s gonna be all white when you only audition locals and surrounding villages. Still, I don’t believe that the country is 100% white.

William Higgins has been directing since 1978 according to his imdb page, with 185 titles to his credit. If we assume an average of six actors per film, that’s over 1,000 models. Has he ever in his life used a nonwhite model?
