You’re right, voice acting does make all the difference. With anime I generally flip back and forth between the subs and the dubs. It’s always interesting to hear how the dubs can change the tone of a scene simply because of how the actor read the lines, and how it was translated.

Mario 64? I got that for my DS and still never finished it. I was more of a Sonic than Mario fan as a kid but poor Sonic hasn’t been the same for over ten years now. It’s sad. For one, I’m a video game/anime geek when a cast for a series changes I got annoyed. When the first guy who voiced Robotnik died in 2005, they replaced the whole cast instead of just having a new guy voice him. When I finally got used to them, the cast was changed again.
