I watched the TVOne “Living Single” reunion sans Queen Latifah, but I didn’t know about the other two casts keeping in touch via social media or reunion. Thanks for that info. 🙃

Absolutely. If I’m not mistaken a lot of the scenes between Tincina & Martin were adlibed and they were great at it. One of my favorite breaks was when Tommy & Cole moved in with Martin & Gina becuz they were broke after spending all their money trying to buy & prove who should be his best man. Cole & Tommy are sleeping on the pullout couch and after reading “Green Eggs & Ham,” Martin says to Gina: “Look at them, babe, asleep. Looking like a fake ass JJ & Michael.” 😂😂😂 You can see Tommy break and start laughing. I own the whole DVD set, I’m definitely doing a marathon sesh soon.

Don’t you love that on a show when the actors have those kind of exchanges and almost fall out laughing? That’s what I loved about “Martin”. Several times the cast almost broke out of character from the delivery of a line like when Martin Lawrence almost fell out laughing when he made a crack at Pam about having some food on her because “I know you got something stuffed in your cheeks for the winter” and she fired back by telling him “And I know you have some Lucky Charms stashed on you, little leprechaun”, dropped to the floor, crossed her eyes and said, “They’re magically delicious!”. Oh, my God, I laughed so damn hard. I might just pick up my DVD and watch that right now.

Nope and that’s what I loved about them. It’s a shame that the gang had a small reunion a year or so ago on TV and everyone was there except the Queen (Latifah). “A Different World” is the same. I follow Cree Summer on Twitter and the original cast still hang around each other. Too bad the same can’t be said about “Martin”. They had a reunion and Mr. Lawrence was missing because of Tisha Campbell-Martin’s long-standing restraining order on him. ‘Tis a shame.

Likewise 😎! I can watch those shows, plus “In Living Color,” and crack up as if I’m watching for the very 1st time. Oh, yeah, Erika Alexander has always been a beautiful woman then & now. Max was my favorite as well. The entire cast was perfect with great chemistry, not a bad apple in the bunch.

You cited my favorite exchange between them and watching T.C. Carson trying his damnest not to break because Erika Alexander delivered her line so well.

Max: “You got to get up pretty early to pull one over on Maxine Shaw.”

You have excellent taste then. I watched this show, “Martin” and “A Different World” religiously on Thursdays during the early 90s. Max was the only reason I watched the show. Erika Alexander still cracks me up and looks great to say she’s almost 47 years old.
