Calvin has a very big following. Many are missing him, and wondering why Sean Cody didn’t try harder to keep him and other favorites. You know – there is not a time since he died I don’t think of him when I go to Corbin Fisher. What an incredible loss that had to have been for his family and friends. I’m not ashamed to say I straight up balled when I heard the news. It always haunts me when someone takes his/her life.. if they only took two minutes to reach out to anyone, they would likely still be here. Life turns on a dime, what seems insurmountable could be over with in the course of a conversation. The insidious thing about suicide is that once they get to the point they are going to do it, all they can think about is stopping their pain. People get angry, call them cowards.. what they can’t understand is that most of the time these are people who use up all their bravery just getting out of bed. They HAVE been brave – often so long they are just spent by the time they act. Depression is a crippling disease, and the worst part of it is often the cure is worse than the illness. I don’t know how but we need to do more. Wherever Sean has moved onto, I hope he found the happiness he could not find here. </3
