No real arguments here, I’m mostly exhausted (I work nights, should be sleeping but I’m not) and just rambling about the overall crappiness of this studio. Though now that I think about it, I can’t recall having seen two black guys in any sort of scene that wasn’t put out by one of these “thug” sites. It sucks that the few black performers out there mostly end up corralled into this sort of tripe.

Yes, this studio is notorious for representing the worst of gay sex and the issues any people still place around the idea of it, but the is not the only site that does this specific stereotype of black men–all sites do it.

My point of showing two black college kids is never a scenario I’ve seen, why? I assume it’s because studios do not think people want to see it…or they think black men don’t attend college.

I feel like this entire company runs on stereotypes, in a way. “Reality Thugs” has a much more offensive dimension to it, but I look at that Reality Dudes ad above, and from what I can tell each site on there basically has all of their performers cram into the one stupid, simplistic mold. It’s really pretty ironic that the word “reality” is part of the studio name, because they don’t seem realistic at all, even by porn standards.

Sure there are some bad names on non-Black performers (Jeremy Spreadums), but not as consistently.

True–obviously I realize all of those things…but it still bothers me that they make the decision.

To your other points…it’s called white privilege and it’s a serious reality and shameful that most of society don’t get that. #lochtegate

I’ve missed the last three episodes, so I’m way behind. From what little I’ve seen, I think JD is probably looking at The Prince and Nia as his final two. I like Prince, but his mom needs to take the razorblade out from under her tongue and sit down somewhere. She’s too much. Nia is cool, but all that getting up in people’s face when you rap stuff gets old real quick. I think I liked Key.

And Helix should seriously get a “model of colour”. They’ve become so white that I even wonder how Aiden Garcia got into Helix.

This is probably obvious, but it’s not that they would like to take part in furthering a stereotype. I wager if they said no then they wouldn’t get anymore work in the industry. And already struggling to get your foot in the door or even get more work for a minority is enough.

Ironically their white co-workers can discriminate against them. Be racist. Phone in performances, Refuse to work with people they don’t find attractive, bemoan to the general public about how straight they are and how terrible gay sex is with other men. And talk shit about said studios, their employees and the people in charge. And commit crimes. Yet get booked scenes left and right.

Really makes you think…

I’ve only watched the Little Women shows here and there, but I never knew there was an Atlanta version. I have to pay more attention to promos when I’m watching UnReal, Devious Maids or The Rap Game.
