The only reason I like the Speedo or bike shorts over work shorts is the crispness of the tanline from tight-fitting shorts legs. Mmmmm mmmmmm.

I used to feel the same way about not using Kindle, but ultimately I succumbed to temptation and now love it. I typically read four to ten books concurrently so it really helps with logistics. But I still savor the rare instances when I smell the paper and print and feel the heft of the book instead of my iPhone when I’m reading.

I refuse to read on an electronic device, like a Kindle or whatever. How are you supposed to be able to put one finger in one page and another finger in another so you can flip back and forth? But this is probably irrelevant to a generation that doesn’t read anything longer than 140 characters, and only looks at screens. And certainly does not know how to compose a sentence with subject and object (what are those?), and most definitely can’t compose a paragraph.

I often wonder, and ask, “Who is going to write the books of tomorrow, if young people of today only consume content and don’t learn how to create it?” And it’s already happening. Not much good content coming from the Mindless Geeks. They probably never learned to read.
