He has never been a favorite of mine. Like Kris Evans, he has been quite popular and I have never understood why. I agree with what you write about the need for change to be successful in today’s porn industry. And that is what you see or hear from anyone in the porn industry talking about its evolution. Whether gay or straight, or in-between, producers are all up against their own best friend and worst enemy, the Internet. It allows for broad (world-wide), cheap, and quick distribution, but it also allows for greater competition and piracy. These days, you can watch a couple (or more) real guys doing real sex in real-time on cam channels for as little money as free in a lot of cases. You know they are into it and each other there are no cuts and chops and changes to hide soft dicks , etc. So, the studios need to find themselves a niche where they can produce stuff for which people will put their hand into their pocket for the credit card. I sympathize with that argument, but beg to differ. You and Kevin below are making different points. I don’t think Bel Ami is any more lacking in pigginess than the “American boy” studios. What does Corbin Fisher do that Bel Ami doesn’t do? Twincest and Vatican sex seems to me to have been the point when they rounded the corner. I also think that Adam Archuleta, Mick Lovell, Vadim Farrell, Ennio Guardi, Trevor Yates, and Dario Dolce all belong on that pig list with Jack Harrer.

BA’s problem is not that they don’t do enough, but that when they do it, it’s usually unconvincing. The list of guys you can imagine doing this stuff offscreen is probably limited to the above list. But try to imagine Chaosmen without Bryan. Part of why that site feels gayer is because we know he’s gay. Otherwise, what’s the difference between Bentley and Kris Evans? They do the same stuff.
