Models in porn are not there for themselves. They are entertainers who are employed in service to and for the enjoyment of the customers, whom the studio creates content for. As a model in porn, sucking someone’s dick IS working along side them. Because porn is your JOB, you’re a PROFESSIONAL sex-worker. While working in your professional capacity, your personal preferences need to be checked at the door. After you clock out for the day, you are free to not go to the bar and not have sex with anyone you don’t want to have sex with.

Secondly, porn models are public figures. As with mainstream celebrities, so long as you conduct your personal life in public, your personal life is subject to public review and accountability. If you want to keep your personal life private, then separate your professional profiles from your personal profiles on all social media platforms, and mark them as private. If you’re in porn, it’s not your job to decide who you will work with based on if you’re “sexually attracted” to them or not. You can make your wishes and desires known, and a good studio will try to work with you because that makes for a better product. But in the end, while you are a professional, you are subordinate to the wishes and desires of the studio and their customers. Frankly, whether or not you are PERSONALLY attracted to your scene partner off-screen is inconsequential. Your job is to play the part. Play the part or go the fuck home.

As for the difference between preference and racism, it is nuanced as with anything else involving subjectivity. The motivations and conditions around the statement determine if it’s racist or not.

It IS racist to say that black men are not attractive, to be closed to the idea than any specific INDIVIDUAL black man can be attractive, BECAUSE he’s black. This is because instead of recognizing the individual human being, you subvert their existence and conflate it with that of a group, and by rejecting the group based on a sole defining quality of the group, you blindly, unfairly, and immorally reject everyone with the same quality, regardless of whether or not they are part of the group.

You can not be attracted to black men and NOT be racist if it is not a blanket statement and you are not closed minded and hardstuck in your ways. If you recognize that not all black men are the same, and you are open minded about possibly finding an INDIVIDUAL black man attractive, I wouldn’t say it’s racist. But you would have to be careful with your language and how you explain this… Because absolutism is implied with blanket statements, you should qualify your position by saying you’re not USUALLY, attracted to black men, or you don’t find MOST black men attractive but you CAN or you HAVE found some of them attractive before and/or currently; you should also further clarify that you ARE open minded, and if the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself yet, that are WILLING and OPEN to the idea.

However, that’s not what happened. Therefore it can be reasonably interpreted that he is absolutely and with no chance for reform, not attracted to black men, unilaterally. IF this interpretation NOT incorrect, the onus is on him to properly express the details and qualify his position; which can and will be tested (because people lie, and the people you lie to will always figure it out eventually).

People are not objects, despite treating them as objects in porn and other industries. It is improper, unfair, and immoral to make judgements about literally every individual member of a particular group, based on your interaction with only 1, or a handful. Even if you were to interact with every black man in america, considering there are black men in other countries, you still cant translate your limited experiences as hard facts concerning the whole.

This is why, in most cases, people who say they “aren’t attracted to x race” are in fact making a racist statement. That idea, from what i’ve personally discovered, is usually founded upon limited information and personal bias that is grounded in the fear/aversion of the stereotypical model of the race they don’t like.

It’s possible that there are actual legitimate reasons, but so far I’ve never met anyone who says something like that, and DIDN’T try to justify it with “they’re xyz stereotype and I don’t like that,” or one of the better ones: “im open to it, I just havent gotten the chance” (while intentionally avoiding anything that would give them the chance)
