As for why Jake Cruise stopped producing content, who knows? Not every site or studio or even any other business can last forever. The percentages, as you say, are very speculative. I just can’t think of a single gay porn site featuring guys like Raunchy Bastards guy only having sex with other “regular” guy looking guys, except for maybe Treasure Island? There are probably some sites out there featuring exactly the kind of guys like Raunchy Bastards guy but my porn universe is just too small for any signs of any of it to make a blip on the radar screen.

I’d say my biggest draw to straight porn produced by straight porn companies, as opposed to straight porn produced by Corbin Fisher, et al, is that the guys seem genuinely, authentically interested in the sex. Gay porn is replete with “straight” guys who either are actually doing the exact opposite of appearing authentically interested in gay sex OR they are acting/pretending to be interested in gay sex according to how they are either trained or directed. The other reason I watch straight porn is the reason I watch ANY porn…for the model. There are dozens of low budget gay porn companies over the decades that feature say owner/director/cameraman blowing or having sex with the “hot” model that so many porn consumers summarily dismiss because they don’t like that sort of scene and I savor the realness and the models these producers find because in many, many cases the models never appear anywhere else. I wasn’t talking about Jake. I know everyone hated him. I thought the reaction was ridiculously disproportionate to his looks, but there’s no disputing the fact that he was disliked. But on the other hand, I don’t think his site imploded because no one was willing to look at him. My theory is that the industry became exponentially overcrowded, he simultaneously got older and less sexually driven, and he just decided to cash out.

(Sometimes I wish I could just pick up the phone talk rather than type, but anyway …) My implied point in the previous post is that I think more people find the Raunchy Bastards guy attractive than the two percent you were saying, though the people who like him are probably likelier to be closer in age to him and also less likely to post their thoughts on a message board where they know they’ll get shot down. I do concede that a percentage of the fans of the site are also into a beauty/beast fantasy, but that’s not everyone. All we can do is speculate on the percentages, But I would only add that one of the reasons I watch straight porn is because I get so tired of the same narrow concept of beauty in gay porn. When I watched his scene, I was not even looking at the other guy because I can see that type of guy anywhere.

(He also owns SG4GE & CocksureMen) I thought it failed and he stopped shooting content and while it’s apparently still up, your membership only gets you scenes shot several years back?
