That’s not too hard to believe. Women and men stay in abusive relationships all the time. Look at how many times Rihanna went back to Chris Brown even though everyone knew he beat her ass and had the pictures to prove it. Sometimes people stay because they think their partner will change, or they think they deserve it, or they think that’s the best they can do. It’s all very psychological.

Indeed. Precious few of us could ever deny we have an inner jerk, worked with a jerk, or dated a jerk. My problem in this case is someone who admits she discovered Hardwick’s inner jerk almost immediately and decided to put up with it for years. Are people really this naive? Am I naive to believe people this naive can’t exist? It biggles the mind…

I had the same conflictions. But a lot of people who have worked with him for years have described him as being very driven (which is evident by how much he does). Almost as if he used his career as a substitution for the alcohol. As such, lots of people have said he’s like two different people, the person you see onscreen and in person, and the perfectionist who is behind the scenes who doesn’t mince words when things go wrong. Think Joan Crawford. Even his friends have said that. So that part I can believe. And if he’s like this to people he works with, I can see him being like that with someone he was dating. I don’t know. Considering the accusations, the fact that his mother-in-law is Patty Hearst is such a mindfuck.

The one good thing about all of this is Yvette gets his job. For now.

I’ve always had a bit of a thing for our boy Chris (after he got sober and lost the bloat). This incident with the ex has me feeling some kinda way. You don’t build an empire by being a total sweetheart all the time, but I’m having a hard time believing all the allegations in a post too passive-aggressive to call him out by name. What say you?
