Yeah, I remember a handful of scenes where Dawson was “hairy” including a beard–I remember thinking he was so hot in them. He would certainly have had a “rebirth” when fans called for him to retire as he held on to his twunk persona being called “Grandma Dawsaon” all along shaving his body hair. It was so weird and sad at the same time.

They need to form their own guild. With so many of them who are actually far smarter than they appear I am surprised it hasn’t happened yet. Residuals keep many actors alive. The idea these guys get nothing outside the base pay for the scene is absurd, when it’s very clear the companies are making bank on their work for YEARS.

I don’t think it would just kill off certain sites, certainly there would be room for negotiations. I think it WOULD potentially ruin guys who didn’t care to bargain in good faith. But it would go several steps further in that for the first time these guys might have access to real benefits.

I doubt it will ever happen, but if it did it could change the scale of everything for the better.

This was also my greatest issue with these two…more Dawson, because he clearly had body hair but shaved it regularly. Connor seems naturally mostly hairless.

I think there are more porn sites competing for talent than there were 15 years ago and the volume of porn is so much greater reducing quality of work–SC and Corbin Fisher used to release one action scene a week and now they are dragged for doing more than that and repetitive pairings.

If we really step back, i would challenge that the talent is still there, if not greater, but not being utilized as well as it once was.

Gay porn models unionizing would surely be the end of amateur porn sites, but you’re right. I never understood how they got away with being classified as “actors” but not in some version of SAG.

Man, Connor at his peak was something special. A once in a lifetime moment in porn history. I’m waiting for the day that he spills the beans on what happened between him and Jason.

I get that they may not have as hot of guys but sometimes the less hot guys give better performances. The problem is often the camera work editing just bad production.
