Karl was very handsome in person, but gave the beer bottle to someone else. He was perfectly lovely and, more importantly to me at that young and insecure age, perfectly friendly. But he was a little slender for my taste and I was more into tops than bottoms at the time. I also got to see Tom Katt, Marco Rossi, Chase Hunter, and one other star you would know, now deceased, whose name I’m blanking on. But the reason I would be jealous of me is the night I saw Jon Vincent. He did a full monty show even though it was completely illegal in that state (NC). I was a virgin, and a close friend of one of my professors was there that night, so I was a nervous wreck. Jon had what most that night acted like was a bad performance because he had trouble getting hard. Some people also claimed he was high. I don’t know and I don’t give a shit. He looked absolutely incredible. He also tried to involve me and others that night in his performance. I did what I could with that guy from my college watching the whole time, but I couldn’t relax and neither could anyone else including him, I’m sure. He did what he could, and I shot like a shaken up champagne bottle when I got home. I was so fucking sad to hear when he died.
