It seems to me that while Sean was supportive of those wanting to get rid of ethnic categories at the AVNs, he nevertheless toes the major studio lines and works primarily with people not of color. Do you think he’s similarly (too) accommodating?

That was a reference to them both being biracial and seemingly having a thing for White guys or lighter skinned Latin men. At least in Austin’s case, that’s what has been said for years. That’s why I believe Clark brought up that old post, where Austin is talking about preferences.

He still upvotes stuff from time to time so he still reads here and elsewhere. But marriage and children and work can keep a bitch busy.

That’s why I’m not quick to lower my side-eye regarding Austin. On that other site I talked about how it bothers me he kept that Blake scene up, even after finding out about those other vids. You’re absolutely correct it was sanfv, come to think of it, I do miss him, he rarely chimes in (given the caliber of commentary these days I don’t blame him). Holy crap I missed the whole brouhaha about Greyson. Had I seen that I NEVER would have stirred up that hornet’s nest. I tend to agree with No/Yes, AW’s in it for the money and his site is better than average. But he is undiscerning about the company he keeps, and as someone who polemicized homophobia and racism among the chattering G4P classes at other shops, it is the height of hypocrisy for him to not address it at home. Makes one suspect his main gripe with NDB was that he wanted to make more coin as his own content producer. Legit motive to be sure, but don’t dress it up in high-minded principle.

That’s the thing, I don’t think much has been written about Austin. It’s just stuff gleaned over the years from various places. I think there may have been some things mentioned on the post about Angel on Z’s site. And the back and forth stuff with Clark referencing Austin and the thing about Grayson was posted here on the last two GISP updates.

Do I give off that West Coast vibe? Wish I were there now, as I wouldn’t be preparing for a snowstorm. I’m on the East Coast. I usually check the site and catch up with messages in the morning before work.

Other than the possibility that his long period of inactivity was rehab-related, and the different explanations for his departure from NextDoor, I’ve heard very little. Pure speculation here, but he strikes me as pretty egotistical. Since GISP was originally a joint project with Romero, I wondered if Austin kind of asserted being in charge (or if it was he who’d acquired the website rights — recall, it was originally an amateur str8 jocks in sweats fetish sort of instagram and fairly worthless). And Anthony said fuck that and bolted. Do you know more?

I believe the rehab thing was confirmed. I don’t want to start stuff because people on this site have been really trying it recently. But if you know anything about Sean Zevran, it has been said he and Austin have similar personalities and ways of thinking. That’s part of the reason why Austin was getting pushback about the Blake Ryder thing, and why Clark dragged up that old conversation about sexual preferences with respect to race. If you remember when Austin went off on ND, one of his biggest complaints was that he was working with “straight” guys who didn’t have to do anything. But when he and Anthony did GISP, they worked with a lot of guys who identified as straight.

People have said things over the years, so I’m not sure what the truth is.
