I think it’s standard for group-scene bottoms to make more than the tops. It’s a lot more work for the bottoms. But I’m sure it’s also tied to the resume of the performer. I doubt they would pay Vander significantly less to top than to bottom at CM when he’s the star of the scene either way. It would not make sense for him to agree to that.
