Yes I saw. Another SC performer bites the dust. It is hard for me to imagine how SC is able to keep putting together sex scenes with their (I think) ridiculous rule to not repeat the partnering of performers, and with how many performers who are no longer with them, and with the addition of so few new ones. If Jax ever decides to bottom I would LOVE seeing Sean split him open, but that can’t happen because they’ve already done a scene together. DUMB!

Z made a statement (with the tattoo). Cody made one by hiring him, blurring the tat in promos, but leaving otherwise visible. People responded. You decide that they are lying. They aren’t hurt by his action but instead they are the aggressors who are hurting him.

So, you want more of his side. His side could just as easily be that he’s a white separatist as it is any of what you’ve invented. But you want to give him a chance to exonerate himself—a chance you deny to people of color with whom you disagree.

So I get it. Getting all sides in this case is code for getting more of the side that you want to drown out the one you don’t sympathize with. You share that in common with your sister (as you described her) even if you vote for different parties.

I’m guessing you’ve never worked as an HR person or a hiring manager or a manager in any capacity. When a manager has perceived that one of their employees has done something wrong, they (if they are a good manager) will sit the employee down and get their side of the story, and then make a determination from there. Hopefully they just don’t fire or write up the person without getting their side. That’s how it works. Ergo, I don’t believe that Zane should have been fired or whatever without getting a chance to speak.

Managers also very rarely take joy in letting people go. Because even if they believe they have justifiably let someone go, even if they didn’t like that person, they realize the strong possibility of how the firing might financially devastate some people, including the spouses and children of that employee. Perfectly innocent people. Maybe that person won’t land another job in a reasonable amount of time and ends up homeless? Look at some of the people in porn. Kellan from Corbin Fisher has a daughter with special needs to take care of. Scott Finn and others have been homeless or very close to it. The list goes on. What if Zane is in the same boat? Should we take joy if he was fired?

If Zane truly is a racist, we should hope that he learns and grows as a person, not cheer his firing. True story time: We recently had an employee that was fired because he liked to drink on the job. The person that informed management about it didn’t celebrate when he was fired. She actually expressed sympathy for him when she said “I hope he gets the help he needs.”

And to that extent, just exactly how much of a monster do you want to paint Zane? The money he earns from his scenes will probably fade quickly, but he faces a lifetime of awkward encounters and possibly disdain from people. Porn stars have gotten fired from their jobs IRL simply because they did porn. Relatives have frowned upon them. Zane risked and sacrificed a lot to bring pleasure to you and people like you. But it seems you would be perfectly happy to be the judge, jury and executioner of his character. I find that frightening.

One final note: You seem to love to tell me that I need to learn how to read and do math and see things from a different angle (things I already know how to do very well) and yet remarkably, you seem to have great difficulty grasping the concept of getting both (or maybe all) sides of the issues.

LOL How predictable of you. I know how you will respond before you do because I know that whatever I write your need is to pick an argument, and it did not take me long to know that. I did not “TELL” you what to do. I stated what I’d “LIKE” to see you do. This helps me to get across my above point. You don’t even know the difference between “telling” and “suggesting”. Of course you are not able to know what exactly your gripe is and what exactly you want. That is why after DAYS of writing your NOVEL you still feel incomplete and with more to write. You are wandering and stumbling around instead of going directly to your destination. You were never on a debate team, were you? Now, be predictable again, but this will be my last comment and I will ignore whatever argument you will predictably try to proceed next with. And that is what you very predictably will do.

Jasper is a very intelligent person with the ability to find the best words to thoroughly express his thoughts. I “participated” but then enough becomes enough. I gave much time and thought addressing your initial comments to me, and I felt complete. If you still do not feel complete, after all the writing that you have done, that is YOUR fault, not mine. That just means you need to spend more time thinking and feeling your way through this issue until you achieve an exact alignment to your truth and are then able to concisely, thoroughly and in a more timely way express that truth. In the meantime, what I’d like to see from you is when another Black Performer shows up here, SUPPORT him when he is being eviscerated, as he most likely will be. It is not difficult at all to find things to complement. It isn’t for me anyway. I look forward to you wanting “to go in on this one”.

While my other post is being held up by moderators (dunno why), let me say this. You don’t “fully recognize racism is still a problem in this country.” You “partly” recognize it. Which of course is better than not recognizing it at all.

But you see it over there somewhere, not in the porn you love or the people that you like. Combating racism can’t mean that you need to do anything differently. So when people point it out you turn those words into extreme scenarios (pitchforks) instead of calmly saying to yourself “maybe they have a little bit of a point.”

That’s why it’s important for you to know whether I’m calling you racist. You need me to be making an extreme statement so you can reject it. And it frustrates you that I won’t say you’re completely innocent or the worst racist in history.

And, by the way, I do think it’s good that MisterB supports nonwhite models on SC. I just don’t think it cancels out people jumping through hoops to see the situation from a point of view they’ve invented for someone like Z rather than from that of any models of color who want to work for SC (or already do) or the POV of people of color who subscribe to SC.

I was surprised to see this thread was still in progress. GOOD POINTS! MarkJohnson sure does want to argue and debate, doesn’t he? I stopped reading him awhile back. Why is the “frequency” of reference to it on this board disturbing to you? What exactly is the disturbance? And is that disturbance greater than that faced by 1) models of color who can’t get hired at certain studios anymore or 2) subscribers of color who are treated as invisible or nonexistent by those studios?

I hate to tell you, but the notions that 1) you are best positioned and best informed at identifying racism and 2) racism is restricted to Trump voters are false. Even your friend MisterB doesn’t agree with you on that.

Where you two do agree is that the rest of us should shut up about racism as it pertains to SC and this blog. You can believe that, but you have no enforcement power. Just as you say people can skip a model sporting a Confederate flag, you can skip the posts of those who dislike it. But you don’t want to hear it at all. That’s strange to me.

And it’s also something you share in common with those whites you would call racist. They also believe their enjoyment of the status quo shouldn’t be interrupted by other people’s complaints about how the status quo feels to those who don’t enjoy it.

You may say that you don’t judge, but it seems to me that you do have a lot of judgments about black people and their motives. Someone says: “hey, I can’t believe this company released scenes with a model wearing a symbol that has a historical association with racism!”

I hear: “I’m hurt by this continuing evidence that I don’t matter.”

You hear: “They want to ruin this kid’s life. And they’re hypocrites because black people are homophobes.”

Sounds like a judgment to me.

How about getting “both sides of the story” regarding black voters? Your data is more than ten years old and a lot has happened since then. And, actually, I find it difficult to locate any homophobes of any color who have been punished as harshly as white racists. Eminem’s career wasn’t ruined. Nor was Louis C.K.’s (for the f@ggot jokes). So, your fixation on black homophobia is just that–your fixation. It’s real. It exists. But I say again that it must not have terribly much impact on you if your only knowledge of it relates to a vote over a decade ago and some celebrities. (Although you might want to look into Kim Burrell, if you want a relatively recent incident of a black artist who lost gigs because of homophobic statements).

Homophobia and racism both affect my life and so I stay more up to date on them than you.

I admit I could have chosen some of my words more carefully. I tend to speak in a figurative sense. When I said “nobody is talking about it”, I think I meant on here.

The term “racist” is thrown around here with disturbing frequency. Posters perceive a studio hasn’t hired enough black models? They must be racist! All of their subscribers must be racist! Of course, that isn’t the truth, but that is what some people are peddling on here. You haven’t come right out and called me or MisterB or anyone racist, but you seem to be implying it.

Let me tell you a true story: I think my sister is a racist. I think she is a Trumpist. I’ve never really liked her and I have as little to do with her as possible. Back when white cops (and to that extent, George Zimmerman) were shooting innocent black people to death, my sister and I had a lot of back and forth. She thinks every shooting was justified. I told them that none of them were (with the possible exception of Ferguson), but she’s “pro-police” and stupid and can’t be persuaded. We had another go around about a month ago. She absolutely hates Colin Kapernick and Nike for carrying him to the point she had a tweetstorm (or FB storm in this case) and wanted to burn a pair of Nike shoes as a political statement and post the pic on FB. I chimed in and what I posted made her feel like an idiot and she shut up and backed off. She lives in a state that still has the Confederate Flag as their state flag. I fully recognize racism is still a problem in this country. Do I think a lot of it exists among Trump voters and supporters. Yes I do. Do I think a lot of exists on this forum? No. No I don’t.

Back when Cosby first started getting the accusations, I did not form any opinions at first. I wanted to hear his side of the story. He deserved a chance to tell it. It wasn’t until he avoided the matter and talked about “innuendo” and more and more woman came forward that I realized he is a rapist. Distressingly, a lot of black people still believe Cosby (and R Kelly) because they view the allegations as “white people trying to take down a successful black man” but that’s another conversation for another day.

As far as Zane and the issue with SC goes, SC handled it HORRIBLY from start to finish. I acknowledge that, MisterB has acknowledged it. I don’t think anyone can deny that. They should have talked about it before releasing his scenes. They put them up, didn’t anticipate the backlash and quickly removed his work. Not only did they screw over paying customers, they screwed Zane out of any future he had with the company. I’ve known porn performers that are in the industry because they have sick relatives to care for. Or because they would be homeless otherwise.

Again, I try not to judge. What did you want to happen? Everyone get out the torches and pitchforks? Demand the firing of someone we’ve never met? Judge somebody we don’t know? Tell us what you wanted.
