This update was nearly a week late, and they haven’t updated this week. I dropped my sub. This studio was a guilty pleasure, but too much crap these days (and there were good scenes with Tom, even here).

I have NO desire to see anyone attempt Sailor. There is no way anyone would improve on the original through anything other than a Turner Classic Movies/blu ray restoration.

I was mentally confining my choices to Falcon. If we open it up, I would actually begin by doing several of the Colt Studios vignettes.

You have me thinking about this like I have some power to make them happen! I’m all, “No, that won’t work — we need to try this.”

I love love love this idea, and immediately began trying to brainstorm what I would recreate if I had the dollars. I think MissionaryBoyz/FamilyDick is an entire company perpetually recreating Uncle Chad Douglas fucking Cory Monroe on Spring Break, so there’s not much need to redo that. I don’t know why there are so few coach/athlete scenes now when the appeal of that is so obvious and the nudity is built in. (Maybe Penn State ruined that?) Ditto teacher/student. Falcon had some scenes like that — one of my favorites was a student council meeting that ended with the president topping a football player in the classroom. It was called Upperclassman.

The problem with re-creations is that it works when the people doing them are talented and hard working. When people are lazy or incompetent, it just ends up being offensive, like all the pointless remakes coming out of Hollywood.
