It’s not to say that models of color have to be an ambassador for their ethnicity. But you can not be a spokesperson and still make socially conscious choices with respect to the roles you take and the studios you work for.

I love aggressive sex. Having a scene incorporate aggressive sex just because the top is a person of color deserves side-eye. Both of his scenes had predatory elements which seemed intentional.

I honestly didn’t think the scenes were “offensive.” I thought they were unnecessary and lazy. Both scenes involved a gym and DeAngelo scamming on a White guy who is half his size while he acts like a big Black alpha? It’s a bit much.

As I said below I get your point of view and I know he’s criticized my only issue is that as black people we are always judged as a group were Bo when criticized is only judged as Bo not as a white model. I’m not saying he should be judged I don’t have a problem with him or DeAngelo but it seems if you object to aggressive behavior one is far more aggressive in his videos than the other. Again I don’t have a problem with either.

Whoa I don’t hate him I actually like his videos I was just pointing out he’s more aggressive than DeAngelo was in this video but wasn’t accused of representing his community badly. I actually like his videos with the exception of the fisting.

I get what you are saying there are far less black models so if we see white trash Bo he is offset by other white models but if there is less black models there’s less variety in the representation. I get that and I didn’t find this particular video offensive but you did I respect your opinion.

Please don’t put words in my mouth. If I wanted to call DeAngelo a thug, I would have. “sexually aggressive Black man” and “thug” are not synonymous terms. At least not to me.

How many White models are showcased on Men? How many Black models? That’s the problem. Because the way they’re showcasing the few determines how the many are received.

Huh? I’m not sure you understand how porn works. The performers are given a script for the scene and (assuming they’re willing to go along with it) carry out what is described. I personally find Bo repulsive, but as far his aggression goes, that would be Bromo’s doing, not Bo’s.

That’s not even true. People call Bo trash all the time. If you can’t understand why within this community models of color can’t be playing into stereotypes, then you aren’t paying attention. Models of color in this business and in this community are fetishized. They are objectified. And when they aren’t treated that way, they are dismissed. There is no reason to play into Mandingo or whatever imagery if you don’t have to. Frankly I’m tired of Black people who go out of their way to play this stupid game. You think what Beaux has done hasn’t hindered other Black models? You think Max Konnor shouting “Wakanda forever!” while fucking an Asian guy isn’t a bad optic? If you think those things, that’s on you. If you disagree with my comments on this scene, fine. My points are valid and I’m not going to apologize for wanting to see my people do better and be better.

That was one of the pros of Brandon Cody. Tattoos are forever and most people with them don’t pick well.

I brought up Bo only to point out that his scenes are far more aggressive and nobody accuses him of misrepresenting his race. No comments of perpetuating white trash culture. He’s criticized but it isn’t tied into the broader culture. I probably should’ve made that clearer. I’m tired of black People always worrying about how others perceive us especially if you’re going to be offended by this mild video.

Scrapple is acting basically like DeAngelo was portrayed as a thug in this video and he wasn’t. I brought up Bo to point out his videos are far more violent and nobody says it is representing his race badly. They usually insult his appearance but it’s nobody says he is portraying bad racial stereotypes.

Please stop. Especially considering some of the cringeworthy racial comments you’ve made in the past.

As to your comment, who is holding Bo Sinn to a different standard? Certainly not me. I’ve been very clear about my feelings on Bo. I’ve been very clear that Bromo’s continued use of him in these degrading scenes is not cute or appreciated. I was very clear about my feelings when Tyson King decided to do a scene with him. Whether you choose to admit it or not, black and brown models in this industry have to work harder than their White counterparts. They have to work harder to be seen. They have to work harder to be appreciated for their work and not their attributes. This industry is still hung up on perpetuating tired racial stereotypes. As such, models of color should not be playing into those stereotypes when they don’t have to. And with all the available porn avenues out there in which to pursue, they most certainly don’t have to. I’m done making excuses for people playing this game, then turning around and crying foul when the game plays them. I’m tired of people fucking racists then talking about limited roles for Black models. I’m tired of people doing scenes for Noir Male, then talking about the misrepresentation of Black people. If you’re letting yourself be a part of the problem, then you’re a part of the problem.

If you or anyone else chooses to ignore all of these issues because a model is hot or whatever, that’s on you. I’m not doing it. I don’t have to do it. But please, do not come at me like the issues I’m pushing back against aren’t valid just because you don’t want to bother with acknowledging those issues.

What is the difference between DeAngelo dominating Cody in this scene and Bo Sinn being far more aggressive in his scenes? Why are we judged harder? I didn’t see the other scene you mentioned so I can’t comment on that but this scene was mild. There are some scenes as a black man that I find degrading like any scene on Thughunters.

Intimidation was the last scene where he caught the model in his locker. Coercion was this scene where he was molesting a client, then offered personal training in exchange for sex, followed by him grabbing Cody by the neck and pulling him into an armpit before Cody could agree.

Having viewed both scenes, I stand by my statements.

He’s actually a pretty handsome guy kind of a mix between bad boy and pretty.
