We very much part ways on that. There are lots of guys who do like well-acted scenes and who find it a nice change from the “drop your drawers and fuck” paradigm. When I subscribed to MormonBoyz years ago, it was for the eroticism of the situations. They aren’t as good at that anymore, and it’s clear to me that they had a Sean Cody-style transition, though they did not make the spectacular transitional mistakes that SC did, nor did their talent take a nosedive. It’s just a little less meticulous now.

But the problem here is that ND is just piling onto an already overdone and poorly done narrative.

I agree. It really diminishes us all when we allow such horrible subject matter to become any part of our culture. The LGBT community has fought long and hard to distance ourselves from THIS exact redneck imagery. People can say it’s just porn, but trust it is more than that. We are allowing these shit show sites to write incredibly damaging narratives about who we are. Now especially, when there are real threats to basic rights and freedoms, we need to be more vigilant than ever. These sites exploit every homophobic punchline in the book, and it could be to our detriment. It certainly does nothing for our legitimacy.

Speaking of Carter, I’m glad the site is finally releasing his scene with Johnny Hill. That was filmed forever ago. Next Door promos the fuck out of their scenes, then holds them back so long you forget the promos existed.

This Taboo spinoff is soooo trash. Nothing new, creative or necessary about it. They’re just trying to jump on a bandwagon.
