Considering that the Confederate flag is a symbol that is displayed almost entirely in the United States, I’m unsurprised that those most concerned about it are in the US. I wouldn’t expect a Romani person in France or someone fleeing slaughter in Syria to care about it. But if they saw someone with a tattoo of a symbol of their persecutors, I think they’d worry.
