I wasn’t so much talking about NDE failing as being a failed idea, ghettoizing black performers. If they had integrated more of those performers across the mainstream sites, I might not have objected about a “specialty” black or interracial site.

My biggest problem is Next Door Raw. ALL of their brands are bareback. Then there’s Next Door Casting, but what’s the difference between it and Next Door Male? Both are solo sites. Then some releases are under the banner of Next Door Buddies, Next Door Originals or just Next Door Studios…all of which are seemingly the same thing. Next Door Twink kinda makes sense, but is largely unnecessary. Next Door Homemade seems like a cheap take on the myfans/justforfans boom. The only one that seemed like a good idea was Next Door Ebony, but as you said it failed and they’ve seemingly abandoned it. Their chief creative officer needs to consolidate 50% of their labels. MEN/Bromo and Men At Play/Masqulin do a better job of being sister sites with autonomous output.

AD has a different provenance, but certainly they have a shared stable of men and it’s clearly a partner site. I’d say it’s more like AD is a feeder school for a certain breed of talent, while Corbin Fisher and a few other more “collegiate” sites have balanced out the mix with less of a Camp Pendleton feel. What you say about their various brands is hilarious (and in some cases reveals serious failures… say no more Next Door Ebony). I think they’ve come along way since the days of Cody Cummings, Tristan Bull and Austin Wilde’s discontents. I give them props for surviving in the current climate of MindGeek, OF/JFF and tube sites.
