That’s basically correct. Probably the most famous “Club Kids” were a group of Manhattan dance clubgoers spearheaded by Michael Alig, an Indiana transplant, that frequented the gay nightclubs of NYC in the late 80’s and early to mid 90’s. They were known for their outrageous costumes, heavy drug use and wild pranks. The party was over some time around 1995 or 1996 when Alig (probably high as a kite at the time) murder his drug dealer “Angel” and went on the run. He was apprehended fairly quickly in a New Jersey motel where he was staying with his boyfriend. He’s since been released from prison and has gotten into trouble with the law again.

If you get really bored, you can watch the American Justice documentary “Dancing, Drugs & Murder” about Club Kids. It runs about 45 minutes and should be found pretty easily on youtube and dailymotion.

Club kid! Interesting. Since I used to consider myself a club kid, while also looking nothing like anyone I’ve ever seen at CB, I’m fascinated to hear more about what that means for you. Lord knows I’m no club kid now (a friend drags me out once a year for Pride, which of course was ruined this year), so if they have a standard look, I wouldn’t recognize it.

A few studios are superior in my book for their delivery of internals, but when CB decides to bring their A game, no other studio is even close to them.
