What does “black” mean when in quotations? Inauthentic? Popular models of color I can think of include Rhyheim Shabazz, Zario Travezz, Devin Trez and Mateo Fernandez. To name just a fraction. Like many people of color (who don’t all embrace that term, incidentally) they may have diverse origins, be they Hispanic, Native American, South Asian, and so on. How exactly are they passing as anything other than what they are? They’re not the ones denying their diverse origins.

I wouldn’t want them to go for a Sean Zevran. I don’t agree with the notion that black skin is something that needs “easing into.” More than anything else I think BA is about big dicks and fashion model looks, and if one has that, and happens to be the blackest possible black, I want them to apply yesterday.
