Where “blanket”/all-inclusive comes in is toward the “IA” end of LGBTQIA. OTOH, as distinct from “Questioning” in this context–a questioning which all of us did along the road to coming out–“queer” means weird, a pejorative, & we ought not be applying it to one another, brothers & sisters in our community. And of course there are haters/hurters among all groups; the point is that we not give their behavior currency. You correctly refer to some who are “out & proud” essentially being self-hating in relation to LGBT rights. Well, throwing around “queer” at least implies self-hatred. I’ll go to my grave proudly opposing the “queer” shtick.

Well… I still see “Queer” as a blanket statement… but I’d say it includes people who consider themselves pansexual, asexual, gender-nonconforming, and anything else.

“Bicurious” to me is nothing more than a curiosity, nothing to do wither they hate, hurt, or are just benevolently curious (because even openly gay people can be hurtful these days… unfortunately… well, I guess it was always the case, but it’s especially annoying to see people “out and proud”, while still being against gay or trans rights, or even elevating the hateful voices of those that are in slightly direct ways.)

Gross & unacceptable is the point; it’s an attempt to normalize pedophilia, which is exploitive of children. This can’t be dressed up. And as far as I’m concerned, the “Q” in LGBTQ is for “questioning”. Being gay is not queer. Let’s not play along with the haters.
