There is a whole psychology explaining why people see what they see. So called ugliness is an abstraction and it is subjective and seeing ugliness has much to do with one’s emotional and mental state of mind and one’s social and environmental conditionings. My point of reference for kyle, from my childhood, (because of his tousled red hair) is Tom Sawyer; all grown up. No longer a mischievous, daring and adventurous country-boy with no time (or the vanity) to fuss over his hair, but now a busy, porn performing city-boy with no time (or the vanity) to fuss over his hair. I see him as a Cute and Cuddly Good-Ol-Boy; good for a laugh and good for a good-time.
