Between my best friend back then and me, I honestly can’t remember who was the bigger Marco Rossi fan. Going into his performance, I think I was mostly “meh” (other than the fact that I was a pornstar groupie and wanted to meet literally everyone who had performed on camera naked). But he danced to “Give It Up” by the Goodmen, and besides the fact that it was an awesome song, he was a fucking good dancer. I even drove to a different city a few months later to see the same show again. People think that being a porn star is purely anatomical, but when you have the talent to perform, even under a PG-13 restriction, it makes such a huge difference. But I also never understood why those kinds of shows or at least personal appearances were not more widespread. They were appointment viewing for me, but even in New York, they seemed to happen more sporadically than you’d think. Tom Brock and Jim Pulver in the subway are forever inscribed in my brain. The same could be said for Ryan Idol and Tom Katt, Ryan Herrington and Tom Katt once again, or, to come back to my boy Jason, Jason Phoenix and Trenton Ducati. UGLY is a word I use to describe someone’s character. I repeat: you do the math, and keep in mind some from your short list have already been paired. SC may do ONE 3-way and ONE getaway a year, if even that. I’m not attracted to Bentley but I don’t blame him for my personal taste. I do adore Chris. Bentley looks to be a lively performer and Chris is a sexual dynamo and definitely is NOT boring, as some think Nixon is. Go figure.

The things I could say about Christian. I can see where his look could have been polarizing. But Tom, I think you put it well. There was something VERY masculine *and* very approachable about him, an unexpected combination. And for me, even though I don’t usually get into the whole “straight looking” business and often don’t even understand WTF people really mean by that, there is a disbelief fantasy involved when I look at someone like him and think, “There’s no way they’re going to get him to do something with a guy.” And then you see him not just getting fucked but taking loads fully in his ass like he does it every day. This is a weird comparison, but there was a performer named Tom Brock who looked very much like the Jeff Stryker / Rex Chandler types, for whom even giving head was a rare event. But through some act of God, Tom ends up bent over a seat in a subway car getting railed by Jim Pulver. Both Tom Brock and Christian should have been bigger stars, but at least we have the few scenes they did.

I agree. I stated to G.10 how grand it would have been in particular if Archie and Sean had been rematched after Archie became a power bottom. Other pairings would also be nice if someone who topped (or bottomed) the first time with someone reversed that the second time. Also, some performers improve greatly over time and rematches would be fun to see because of that. BUT that is not SC’s policy and if we want to do “back seat driving” as G.10 insists on doing, one should keep in mind the rules of the road until the rules have changed. That was my point. AND, people do complain at CF when the same pairings occur. Some complain if they see the same person too often, and not even in a repeat pairing. The more jaded someone becomes the more they need to see NEW performers, only.
