Disregarding the comparisons, I agree with you about Lance. I can’t find that “bro” is an outdated colloquialism. Because I’ve never used that word I would have referred to Lance as Super Hunk, because he is that. Or Super Vain, because he is that too. Tehehehehe! But who can blame him? I do hear “bro” often used, particularly within the Black Community. “Hey Bro” seems to be a common greeting. I celebrated when Biden was announced the winner by going to a favorite restaurant in Wilmington (Biden Country) overlooking a towpath along the river. Happy Black men with their families walking along the path that day greeted each other by exclaiming things like “we did it bro”! Or, “we can breathe now bro”!
