I understand what you’re saying. I’m not too fond of fan sites myself. I find there’s better value in subbing to a porn studio. But yeah, times are different now and studios in general are on the decline. But I still have more respect to studios like CF than a “studio” like SC who truly succumbed to OF. Sean Cody today is nothing more than an OF channel. I’m getting more and more cynical towards CF and gay porn from studios in general.
In my view CF cannot survive very long in the way they were, keeping the quality they used to provide. In the porn landscape of today, recruiting new models that fit the ‘old fashioned’ requirements will ultimately fail.
Those that would fit and are willing to experiment in the world of gay porn are easily drawn into the world of OF, JFF, etc. Many of them don’t understand that it is very, very hard to distinguish themselves from the crowds in that environment. Overall quality over ‘there’ is super low as is – presumably – the average amount of grey cells. Only very few really know what they are doing.
I’m not sure if I’m right, but I suspect that the average amount of grey cells on the side of consumers is just as low, resulting in spending money in abundance for stuff that isn’t worth it at all. Giving the producing models the idea they’re doing fine and don’t need to do better.
In the end, the connoisseurs, the consumers that know what gay porn could be like, are left with predominately bullshit stuff.
I can’t see how this trend can ever be reverted. Like is said in my avatar: “It’s all downhill from here”. (You know where that is from, I suppose.)

Recently I was once again exploring Zeb from CF (certainly a favourite of mine). I’m afraid it’s not very likely that beautiful guys like Zeb will ever again line up in large numbers to join the CF stable. With over 50 gay scenes he has done ‘everything’. And he did it with a conviction that is hard to understand for a guy that presently seems to be happily married to the woman with whom he has five kids and runs a successful business (so it seems).
Where are guys like Zeb nowadays?
