I do somewhat understand the concerns if the studio just morphs into Men.com and doesn’t retain its distinct identity. I’m not too worried yet, I’m pretty sure there have been occasional scenes over the years with some element of scripting or role-play rather than the typical set up, so as long as it doesn’t become the norm. There is something that works about the simplicity of the normal format, where the two (or more) guys have a relatively informal chat with the director at the start and then get stuck in, usually in at least two scenes.

One thing I do like is them playing into the gym, sportswear aspect of the guys. Historically, most SeanCody scenes do have a certain format and do tend to have very little in the way of “costuming” but there have been a few notable exceptions. I remember a scene with two guys playing in a pool wearing jockstraps (one white jock, one black) and another with a guy’s solo starting with him lifting weights in a nice oily / sweaty jock.

I like that this scene has that, but it’s not a massive focus and the jock does come off later. I think it could be good to throw in some jockstraps, wrestling singlets etc. but not to the extent that it detracts from the guys and the sex.

Makes sense. Why show everything you can do at Sean Cody, where the directors are complacent and dedicated to mediocrity, when you can show out on your own fan platform and potentially make more money? I honestly don’t know why he wanted back in the first place.
