I investigated if what YOU wrote as being facts were indeed facts. First you wrote that malato (meaning sick) was not pronounced as MYlato. I checked the pronunciation on YouTube and you are right. It is pronounced as MYYYYlato. Then you wrote that Micky, himself, pronounces his name as mulatto. I checked and he pronounces it as MALA-OH. I listened at least 6 times. I searched for what dialect has a silent T between 2 vowels and I got COCKNEY. Digital blackface is the use of a Black person in a gif that perpetuates NEGATIVE stereotypes. The above gif represents my bewilderment with you, and my disbelief with your inability to process when you are wrong. I’d never noticed MIcky pronouncing his last name. I had checked to see how the Italian SURNAME was pronounced and it is MYYYlato. I just checked and Micky pronounces it as if the T is SILENT. He pronounced it MALA-OH in his solo scene, and I listened SEVERAL times. I can not find him pronouncing it elsewhere. I googled and in a COCKNEY dialect the T is OFTEN silent when it is between 2 vowels. Perhaps his parents or grandparent speak in a Cockney accent.
