You’re blowing it out of proportion on your first reply to me. The sentence can use a simple grammar fix, but your tangent about people being lazy about pronouns when it has little to no relevance to the mistake is unnecessary. The write up is consistent in calling Lane “he” so it’s definitely not done on purpose, and I can see in the way they want to write it that it’s meant to be generalized which usually use plural pronouns like “they” anyway.

So yeah, your scorn, as I say, is not used in the right moment. Either that or despite my ramblings about grammar I have poor reading comprehension.

I have no illusions about who is behind the write-ups, and yes, THEY are the person I’m directing my scorn towards. What part of being snarky about careless writing do you not understand?

Then you’re using a wrong moment to be bitchy since in this case Austin (or whoever penned this writeup) is more of having a case of grammar issue.

I was being facetious. Now that people have pronouns, I hate the lazy way people use they to be “he” (or “she”) out of a reflexive concern for anonymity. “I have one friend, and they met their current partner on Grindr.” Oh, really? Is that person non-binary or intersex? Oh, you were just trying to keep their identity private? Cuz knowing it’s a he is doxxing? Puhlease.

I’m not sure about the pronoun. The writeup uses “they” and then flips to “his” in the same sentence.
