It was a freezing cold night and I was asleep snuggled under the covers, until I heard the outside door open and I was awakened to see my stepdad and stepbrother, Red, walking in. This was a surprise since they were supposed to be coming later. Nevertheless, I was so happy to see them, they are so important to me, a comforting reassurance as I continue on my journey. Then I had another thought, “I know that I need to say something about Stepuncle Johnny, and I will, but for now I am just happy to be with my stepfamily, no better way to bring in the holidays....
