Ahh, but that’s just the point, E. Some of those who find him unattractive are doing dumb stuff like saying it’s because he’s like Landon–a model whom he resembles not in the least. And then there’s the dopes who seem to be trying to defend him by saying no he’s not black. Me? I don’t pretend to know any or all of his ancestry. I’m just surprised at those who do… and who base their judgment of his attractiveness on it.

Oh, and by the way, coffee: the political or cultural nationalism of the Quebecois is not dependent on them being an unmixed race. You tried to switch up terms on me! I didn’t say they weren’t a nation, just that his being Quebecois “through and through” did not mean he could not also have black or Pacific Islander ancestry or any number of other kinds. People have been sold and shipped, they’ve fled and flown from one part of the globe over vast land and sea at least since Columbus. That’s why no one (even when they look like, say, Michelle Obama) is anything “through and through” when it comes to ancestry.

You’re in the middle of a page with a large number of comments of people who are either linking his assumed blackness to his not being hot (neobamboom saying he’s as ugly as landon–not, say, as ugly as some other model with similar eyes, size, musculature or hair.) And then there are others who seem to be insisting that he couldn’t possibly have any black ancestry whatsoever, and that’s hot. I thought you were going in that direction with your “Quebecois through and through.” Glad to see I was partly wrong.
