I forgot about the reboot. I have to say, that fake MMPR teaser movie with Kara Thrace from Battlestar Galactica was all kinds of hot. It was dark and twisty and very much an adult version. Very cool. They really should’ve made that one. I forgot who else was in it.

I started taking notice when Elizabeth Banks was announced as Rita and became invested while watching interviews of the cast at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, two months ago. The teaser trailer debuted last week @ New York Comic Con and I’m perched. It’s “The Breakfast Club” meets “Chronicle” which is a great move & overall direction I feel.

Yes, I loved “Power/Rangers” and thought it was a dope, darker take on the property. I loved Katee Sackhoff as Kim and all the little easter eggs throughout. James Van Der Beek starred as Rocky.

I remember thinking Elizabeth was such an odd choice for Rita, and I love her. She seems more suited for Divatox. Haven’t seen the trailer yet, but if it’s a mashup of those two films, I’m all in.

That’s right, it was the Beek who played that role. Love him. The darker tone was soo cool. And sexy. I loved the little Easter eggs here and there. Some of them I didn’t even pick up on at first until they were pointed out by others.

One of the Red Rangers is on trial for murder I think. Can’t remember what season. Wild Force maybe.

Absolutely, and thought the same about EB’s casting. She’s shown very briefly in the teaser but her version of Rita Replusa — more menacing & sexy — works. I highly recommend watching when getting the chance, it looks slick and just feels cool & contemporary. The character bios for each Ranger are more layered & complex, so before even watching the teaser, “The Breakfast Club” feels are already present.

Calvin was all-around hot IMO. He had a great chest, nicely muscled long legs, among other features.
